RevaluationBordentownProject Status (as of August 15, 2008) Revaluation approval was granted on June 26, 2008 from the Director of the Division of Taxation. Letters introducing the Revaluation program, approved by the municipality have been sent. This mailing also included a two color, four-page brochure that explains the reasons for the program and the methodology to be employed. The Mod 4 database has been obtained and a revaluation file has been established for each block and lot within the municipality. All forms and property record cards to be utilized during the revaluation have been prepared. A presentation on the revaluation program was given during a senior citizen meeting on July 21, 2008 by Ernest Del Guercio and Glen Sherman at the senior center. Key personnel of Appraisal Systems, Inc. rode the entire town. As a result of this effort, preliminary homogenous neighborhoods were established. Click here to view the neighborhood map. The firm in cooperation with the assessor has established all criteria, essential variables, and cost parameters to be employed for use in the revaluation program. Residential field work has begun. Prior to an inspector visiting your property you will receive a postcard notifying you of a pending inspection so you may better anticipate when an inspector will be visiting your property. All field personnel have undergone background checks and have been issued identification by the Bordentown Police Department. To view the current location of the inspectors click here.
